Sunday 9 October, 4.30pm
Eastgate Theatre & Arts Centre, Eastgate, Peebles EH45 8AD, Box office: 01721 725 777
Made on Our Land: Peebles is a screening of rare films from the archives exploring the rural lives and landscapes of Scotland and the Borders, followed by a panel discussion – or ‘blether’ – specialists in local history and archives about the films being screened and the roots of our strong tradition of rural cinemagoing.
As well as national films including Scotland’s efficient land use during the Second World War, the programme features films documenting rural life in Peebles and the Borders from the 1920s onwards. Event duration: 90 mins approx.
